i am planning to do a digital thesis portal project for my community library

1. thesis is in pdf format ...only admin can upload the pdf

2. uploaded thesis are put in list...and user should be able to browse the list and download the thesis in pdf or view directly the pdf within the site or in a new window

3. abstract, category, name of author, name of document should be display in the download page

4. i also would like the user to be able to search the thesis by alphabets/category/author/published date/abstract, keywords etc (must have feature)

modules in my mind that i thing might help me to this project
- wf-download
- smartsection
- PubMedOffhttp://ppdf.sourceforge.jp/en/ppdf/index_man.php

besides the 3 above is there any other better modules or better cms that can meet my requirements for this project ? please give me suggestion

You could use "tag" (available from: dev.xoops.org) with either SmartSection or Article for the keywords perhaps...
