Hi!.

I'm newbbie to XOOPS and php, but I've programming knowledge. I need to wrap a self design table into a XOOPS module with two functions:

* In admin section: manage the data (create, modify, delete)
* In user section: browse the data perhaps with filter criteria.

Someone can help me?.

Thank you in advance.

Take a look at Formulize and Pageworks, for creation and viewing.

It sounds interesting..

Is not out there any module skeleton that shows how to manage data from a table ? Add, delete, modifiy, etc...

This could be so useful for newbies to develop new modules

Thank you.

I'd took a look at Formulize and Pageworks. It seems to great modules, but they are very difficult to manage.

I'd tried to do that with "Using Formulize..." document, but it is no explained enough (I tried to run pageworks's "Hello world" example and I was no be able to do) .

Do you know where can I find an in depth manual about how to use Formulize or Pageworks? There is somewhere a step by step example?

Thanks again.

Thanks again ron-cpw.

I'd tried a little bit more with Formulize and finally I have been able to do a form, but when I try to link with a iMenu option, it doesn't work.

I link with "http://localhost/modules/formulize/index.php?fid=2"
but I obtain a "404 Not found error" with modules/index.php.

The index.php file exist in the correct directory (formulize) under nodules folder.

The same was happened with Pageworks (see my last post).

I gave permissions to all groups and users (I think did it correctly).

Do you have some idea about this issue?.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry.

Finally I've been able to link my form. It was an error in URL (I forgot include /xoops).

Thanks anyway.

Hello, thanks for your interest in Formulize and Pageworks.

The "Using Formulize..." PDF is really intended for developers, rather than regular XOOPS users. Some real docs for regular users would be a very nice addition! We are working on some reporting docs at the moment, but nothing general about creating forms, etc.

If you have specific usage questions, please post in our area on dev.xoops.org. Responses have been slow lately, but we do always reply to everything eventually.
