Couldnt create tables while installing

I tried to install XOOPS portal on a host that has everything that is needed, apache, database user, phpmyadmin 4... php 4..
All went well untill it said that it couldnt create tables in the database. I tried other available databases in my account but they all failed.
xoops 2.0.16.

Please help.

Did you follow the help here?

You may have forgotten to create an empty DB for XOOPS to write to... you have the wrong username/password/path or somecombination of the above. You may also have a bad mainfile.php.

All hard to guess without the exact error message.

I recommend you start with the documentation though.

error, cant create tables on database x.
error cant create new database.

The whole file is correct. Not bad mainfile.php , i checked i had empty databases user can connect, and i filled in all the stuff cerrectly
