I'm getting this error after XOOPS installation. (blank page first and then with debug enable)

PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in pages/xoops/class/smarty/Smarty_Compiler.class.php on line 1892


I'm using:

- FreeBSD
- lighttpd-1.4.13_1
- xoops-2.0.16
- php5-5.2.1_2
- mysql-server-5.0.33

I just figured this problem out myself yesterday. Odds are, your problem is from pcre-7.0 installed as a dependency from the ports tree. Try doing a make deinstall and fetch the package you need from ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-6.2-release/devel/pcre-6.7.tbz and perform a pkg_add pcre-6.7.tbz. This fixed my problem.
