It's been a while since I asked such a "general question" in here ...

I need to translate a big XOOPS site into Russian, but I'm new to the Language/subject and am asking for a few answeres:

Did I need to encode the MySQL database in a different language?
Cyrilic? windows-1251 (WIN CP1251 encoding) ?

Is there a lang files for XOOPS 2.2.x in russian?

any special problems / instructions ?

Basicaly I thought of copying the English database for the whole site and translate it page by page (I have a translator for it ...) but then it'll keep the database & tables encoding ... ???
