Hi all!

I have been trying to find a CMS for a while, and so far haven't found one that meets my needs. I think I'll try xoops, but I wish to verify it is possible to do what I have in mind (I spent days on another CMS only to discover that it can't really do what I want, without hacks and maintainence nightmares)

I am trying to do a tutorials site. The structure looks something like this

Tutorials
+-Tutorials Series 1
+--Lesson 1
+--Lesson 2
+-- Attached file 1
+-Tutorials Series 2
+--Lesson 1
+--Lesson 2

So basically, I would like to have some ways to attach a file to a story, and to have it appear along with the lesson. The whole structure is something like a mini-LMS.

I have done some searches and it seems that the SmartSection modules may be ideal...but I just want to find out if this is doable before committing myself to xoops.

Also, the second issue is whether it is possible to only allow paying members to visit certain sections of the site?

Lots of thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome on xoops.

I think that the modules smartsection or news can be appropriate for a site of tutorials.

or the access of certain parts of the site to paying members, looks xasset module.
