change template get problem

When I change user profile template page that "system_userinfo.html" , smarty template variable does not show values, even i just add a <br> tag to "system_userinfo.html",

I mean if I change a little then it does not show value, i got smarty code as it is.

please guide me what I should do?

When you change any system template you need to go to system..admin..modules and rebuild (reinstall) the system function in order to see your changes. Also make certain your systems..preferences are set to allow for update of tenplates (changes).

I did that but still getting the same problem. Any thing other that I can do ?

Sorry... no I don't know. I try NEVER to mess with system modules. My skills in that area are pretty limited.

chang to any template even form smartprofile or any module result smart variable shown as html text. changing in template does take effect but smarty engine does not work in that case.

any suggestion plz ?
