Greetings -

I am sitting at release 2.0.13.2 and want to go to the current release.

I see upgrade packages that go from 2.0.14 to 2.0.15 and 2.0.15 to 2.0.16.

However, I can not seem to find a 2.0.13 to 2.0.14.

Any assistance will be appreciated.
Regards,
Roberto Artigas

There's more to this change than just the core update! Certain modules may not work after the upgrade, because they are not compatible with XOOPS 2.0.16

Try a test site first before committing to a production site. Nobody has checked and detailed the compatibility problem, so be aware.

Xoops 2.0.13.2 was (is) one of the best releases to date, IMHO. Unless a *major* security issue is discovered, I plan to stick with it for the next 12 months.

but there was a few security exploits in XOOPS 2.0.13.2, there were some in 2.0.14 too, they were quashed in 2.0.15.

Unfortunately, I had module problems with 14 and 15. It's a tough call to make. The XOOPS devs do tend to use the opportunity to 'improve' a few things here and there with each release. Sadly, module developers are not as quick to release compatible upgrades.

2.0.16 may indeed be a better Xoops, but not if upgrading causes a critical module to stop working.

Personally, I would like to see one new XOOPS version released every year, with security patches published as required. It would give everyone a chance to actually use it.
