Color coded piCal bullets

I've done an exhaustive search and have not had any positive results yet. I'm trying to add the small color bullets to the bottom of my miniCalendar identifying different events.

I noticed the actual images in the /images directory but "how do I get these to display within miniCal?

There are 2 different miniCal blocks - the miniCalExt uses the little dots at the bottom of the calendar.
