Unfortunately, most WYSIWYG editors will change the underlying HTML to suit their particular code format. This is necessary to ensure that 'what you see is what you get', but it's a really bad thing if you need to paste unmodified code into the textarea.
I have found that if you try to add a JavaScript to the page or add a Flash movie without the 'embed' tag the code often gets trashed.
It would be nice if users had the option of bypassing this to paste raw code, but I don't know any editors that allow this.
Only solution (AFAIK) is to use the XOOPS DHTML editor.
