I think this is the problem, a lot of user stands in front of them. If u are using the new firefox, this can be the answer.

Here the mimetypes the did work on my and i think on the most websites:

application/pdf application/acrobat application/x-pdf applications/vnd.pdf text/pdf application/octet-stream

The last entry is important when the firefox is the problem! The difference is, that the firefox users did not see the mimetype icon for PDF, but it works!?

Bye Andy

Which version of SmartSection are you using. I use 2.12 RC1 on my site and pdf files upload just fine.

Is it just pdf files or do you have problems with uploading any files to SmartSection?

In the admin section of SS, what is the maximum filesize that you've specified - is it a big enough number?

In admin section for SS, is "[PERMISSIONS] User submissions?" set to "Yes"? If yes, have you given your user group permission to submit?

Can you upload other files to other modules? I had a problem with the server that my site is hosted on where the .tmp file didn't have the "write" permissions.

One thing on the first image in your first post worries me - you're allowing users to upload php scripts?

Just a thought........(sorry for so many posts).... have you tried moving the file to a location more conventionally named? Just wondering if there's an issue with the \k.i.f\ directory name?

That is your problem.....1000000 is 1 million bytes, i.e. less than a MB. Add another "0" on the end and try again
