How can I make a page that has a field on it which has a field with a number. When the user wants he/she can input a number into that field and save it, so that next time it will be there. Also, I want that number displayed on the page whenever the user goes there. I want the page to be customized for each user. How can I do this?

To store a number you will have to create and make use of a DB table. Take a look at this tutorial to learn how to use the database with xoops.
