I have an intro for my website and the only way I can have it come up as the first thing you see is to have it be set as index.html. That works but when you go to hit the button "Home" it goes back to the intro. Is there any way you can go in and change what your home url is set to. Is there a file deep somewhere where I can go in and change it? Thank you!

i think you can use full url for your home link.change it in block template.
for example if you use main menu you can change template like:

<a class="menuTop" href="<{$xoops_url}>/index.php><{$block.lang_home}></a>

Yeh their are couple of options, one do believe that solo made a home module…..
Yet that is not 100% what you are after...as that contains the XOOPS layout also….

The easiest I can think of is, to make a module....
On the main index page...instead of including XOOPS header and footer, just leave the html content.....with no XOOPS layout surrounding.
Then set that as your default home page in XOOPS admin preferences....

That way when anyone goes to the home page they would be given that by Xoops...then from there could go into the site....

That would also give you full control of what goes in the html to begin, as in totally different CSS or flash ect

if i understand what you're asking...

"Is there any way you can go in and change what your home url is set to."

you just want to have index.html or index.php to be a intro page, kind of like what i have at my site and then have a particular XOOPS installation in another directory. then when a user clicks "home" he goes to the home of that XOOPS site in that particular directory instead of the index splash page. i believe i just opened mainfile.dist.php and modified the XOOPS path. not sure but i could check if that's what you mean.

good luck.
