Adding required fields to the 'User registration' form

Dear All,

I would like to add a couple of required fields to the new user registration form, I have searched the forums, but have just got myself confused!
It sounds like I need to use something called "Formulise", but it sounds tricky!
Any help or advide appreciated!

Yeh for my self wanting more profile information Xoops 2.2.5rc2 has worked fine and you can create extra profiles fields...plus more options to control if on sign up, you need these

Hi Lance,

That sounds fantastic, I did notice it on the homepage news for XOOPS, not quite what I was after YET!!!
Any ideas on a timeline!?

Didn't want to swap over to XOOPS 2.2 just for that function (still learning & that would be a nightmare!)

Actually reading the description on the SmartFactory Downloads for SmartProfile if says "Features:
Dynamic user fields" am I not wanting Dynamic user fields?

"Dynamic user fields" means "User fields that can be dynamically added, configured and removed through the module's administration", but you can also manage (most) existing fields in regards to visibility on profiles and registration form.

SmartProfile should provide everything that XOOPS 2.2's Profile module provides in regards to user registration and profile (and even better)
