Hi,

I've installed the latest AMS module to manage articles on a page. I'd
like to show my articles with a brief intro and a 'Click to read full
article' page. However the [extend] and following [pagebreak]
codes are ignored in my articles. AMS shows the articles with
the codes printed along with the article text. I ask here because
registration is closed at Mithrandir's support site.

Is there any secret to paging articles? Is there another article module
that provides the ability to show a paragraph from an article
with a clickable link to the entire article? Thanks for any info in
advance. Also it'd be nice to have something that provides one or
two column layout down the center column.

I do not think pagebreak works with AMS but extend does.

Here is a cut and paste from one of my articles:

[extend]

I hope these tutorials and

You can see the article on http://www.warpigw2.com. Main spotlite article.

Hmm. [extend] doesn't work in my AMS article. Is that AMS with the
two-wide columns down the center?

Also.I shoulda posted this under module support. Don't think
I can move from one forum to another now after a followup.

Thanks Mr Seymour for quick reply.

My spotlite for AMS has one main spotlite, most recent article, and 4 mini spotlites of featured articles.

Did you try putting the [extend] tag on a line by itself? That is how I have always done it with no trouble.

Yes. I did make sure it was not inside some markup html.

It's basically

one line h3
one line h5
[extend]
paragraph
[pagebreak]
second paragraph

Neither extend or pagebreak work.

Are you using a wysiwyg editor? I think since it uses html instead of xoopscode it may cause a problem.

It's a simple text editor that pops up whenever I edit
my page via AMS.
The url is http://myurl/modules/AMS/submit.php?op=edit&storyid=7

How do I determine what editor is in use? Edit options
down the side are

Title,Topic,Display Image?,Position,Publish in Home?,Audience,
Article Text, Banner/Sponsor, Major Change?, Update Author?, Select File and Options.

Does the editor look like the one used here in the forum?

Notice the settings at the bottom Enable XOOPS Code is enabled. Needs to be (I am almost 100% sure) for it to work.

Nope I noted the XOOPS Code radio button in the forum. But it is not in my form. Is it in your AMS edit box on YOUR site? Maybe I need to flip a switch in the configuration.

Thanks for all the help here John!!
