I used the newest xoops-2.0.15 & XOOPS2_mod_news_1.44
it will appear :
Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area.

it happened when i click these :
- The title of the news
- The comment of the news, read more..
(even as a registered member i can't do that)
i was really confused & i changed "Allow anonymous post in comments" to "yes" but still have the same output..

But it can be done when i logged as the webmaster..
Can someone tell me why?

Of course i did.
I've changed the group permission setting to allowed registered member to have an access for the module (Just to make sure..)

Like u said too, i've check the permission from that module too..
i changed "Allow anonymous post in comments" to "yes" was from the module permission..

There is more than that too it.

Personally I use AMS so I am not sure if you have audience levels in the latest news.

Regardless whn you set module permissions. you have read, sumbit, approve.

in 2.0 branch click news icon on left, then select permissions tab.

FOUND IT

In the "Module Settings" of the Module you will see (15th Question down)

"Enable authors to edit their post?"

this must be set to YES if you are Author of the article that you are trying to edit... Seems weird if yhou site admin you should have auto full control

Maybe the coder can put in "if" statments so "if site admin" allow
