I finally figured out what is going on, but I can't seem to find where to fix this problem, then the question is why did it even start as I dont have altern8news installed anymore. Please help!!

By the way the blocks that are doing this are Top News, and Recent News blocks


I have looked in news_top.php in news/blocks directory, everything checks out. As far as I can tell there isn't even a way that it should be reading it except fo modules/news, nowhere is it coded to modules/altern8news

is there somewhere in the database it could have changed??

Well incase anyone else ever has this problem - I fixed it. Apparently there is a compatibility? problem with XOOPS 2.0.13 and News Module 1.44 I just upgrade from the 2.0.13 to 2.2 and the problem went away. Maybe Im the only one that will ever have this problem but just in case - here is the answer
