I'd like to have a site, where the users (actually: readers) do not need to login. The most of my users are casual browsers (passers-by).

On my test site (http://xoops.pctnet.fi) there is a login box in the left side column. But the page is otherwise without any content.

When I login, I will finally get to the real start page with all the content.

I would like my site to be like, e.g. the XOOPS main site (https://xoops.org), where you will get to the full start page without logging in!

Is this possible?

You need to give "Anonymous Users" group access to whatever you want. Go in your XOOPS admin -> system admin -> Groups

select "modify" next to "Anonymous Users" and select in "Module Access rights" modules that you want to be available for anonymous users and in "Block Access Rights" again select blocks. Then click "Update Group" at the bottom.

Also some modules have separate access setings, so you need to edit them too, but that depends on the modules...
