Hi, experts

I would like to develop an intranet web site with "xoops".
According to the GPL statement and its FAQ, I don't have to post the modified XOOPS source code as far as I don't distribute the source code itself (please correct me if I am wrong).
My question is whether this exemption is guaranteed even in the future or not.
Isn't there any possibility that the license system of XOOPS or GPL is changed and I am forced to post the source code ?
I am worried about this matter since the web site will include a lot of company-confidential information.

This maybe a GPL question, any answer or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The GPL license relates to the source code of the XOOPS and not your content.

In other words, the information contained in your intranet (ie company information) is not subject to the GPL and never will. I would imagine such information will be copyright your company.

Hi, McNaz. Thank you for your quick response.

Though the confidential contents will be hard coded with the modified XOOPS source code, is this out of GPL target ?

If the confidential content you are referring to is actual modified XOOPS soruce code then that does fall under the GPL.
