Is there currently a module that allows you to create multiple blogs and then have multiple authors contribute with different permissions settings? I've searched around, but don't seem to be able to find anything really. The Wordpress multiply plugin theoretically does this, but it doesn't play well with XOOPS and other wordpress plugins.

I'm currently using popnupBLOG, which is very functional and allows each user to have their own blog. However, it is more user centric than blog centric, as in, the blog is identified with the user as opposed to users being identified as contributors of a blog.

I think a great model for different levels of user permissions is what extCal provides. Now if only that model can be also applied to blogs. I don't know much about PHP, but my intuition tells me that the user permissions function can be extracted from extCal and appended to popnupBLOG with just some bit of tweaking.

Anyone up to this?
