I hope I can tickle your collective interlect for just a moment.

Perhaps the site itself is the best illustration of my difficulty.

An unexplicable (to me) spacer exists between the top of the left and center blocks and the top graphics. I have waded through the tables but can't see the trouble. If you need to look at the theme file I can provide it.

NB Where are the main menu and submenu items called from? I want to remove the two news submenu components - submit news and archieve.
