this would be ideal:

the league manages game statistics, schedule, and rosters through one official (registered user) per team. website admin adds all the teams and gives the team officials username and temporary passwords (registration is turned off). after login, in one block, you would see something like:
welcome, uic flames.
edit schedule
edit roster
edit player statistics
score games (W-L-T)
a feature i haven't thought of

through edit schedule you would be able to add games which would then be able to be viewed by the general public and added to a comprehensive league game schedule.

through edit roster you would be able to obviously add players and their positions height weight etc.

through edit player statistics, the roster would have to be input, and you could add things like goals assists etc etc, and make it editable for all sports sites.

for scoring games, at least for hockey, you would see your schedule and check a box that says win, loss, tie. then on a point system, all the teams in the league would be displayed on the main page by first, second, third place etc based on the amount of points (2 for win, 0 loss, 1 tie).

I've seen a couple league modules but none that have everythign i want. I'm learning php so I'll add to the module if somebody will help me with it.
