I would like to do the following but I am not sure if there is a module already written for XOOPS or not...

* Control permissions on "Links" so each link is controlled by XOOPS groups

* These links should be able to goto external sites where XOOPS is proxing connections to that external site. This will allow all external content to looks as if it is originating from the XOOPS website.

* These links will also need to be able to log into a basic auth site. The login data will be different for each user or group.

Off the top of my head, I would make custom individual blocks with the links inside, and grant permissions for those who I want to be able to view those links?
