One of the users on my site has complained (rather vocally I might add), that NewBB is not correctly identifying which items he has read and which he hasn't read. He's actually described this bug as making the entire site completely unusable, which IMHO is a bit of an over-reaction.

Nonetheless, there is something wrong. A couple of users have complained that the site seems to over-ride the setting "Store my user name in a cookie for 1 year".

Is this a setting issue? Or a bug? How can I fix it?

I'm having the same problem! Please, if someone knows why this is happening, I would love to know.

I figured out why. It is a cookie issue on the users computer. It has to show topics viewed.
