Is there a hack (or module existing) that upgrades the registration page so the user has to look at an image, and type in the random letters or numbers shown, in order to verify that he or she is indeed a person, and not a BOT?

i think this would be a VERY GOOD feature to have!

(A friend of mine's forums got SPAMMED with over 1,000 spam postings because a bot was able to register...)

i am interested in this problem , but there are nothing in this forum about it . you can find image-verify in exoops (a XOOPS similar edition)
