i am wondering if it is possible to remove the submit part of the news module?
What i am looking to do is use the news module for me to post current news and updates. But i don't want users to be able to submit news articles.
As it's listed in the main menu, when you click the news link, it opens 2 sub-menu's... Submit and Archive. I just want to remove the Submit listing, but i'm not sure if it can be done or which file to edit.

Thank You.

Hello,

I don't know what version of News you are using, but in version 1.44, you can set submit permissions. If you don't want anonymous or registered users to submit news, don't give them submit permissions. The Submit sub menu should not show up if the user doesn't have permission.

Hope that helps.

That's what i thought to, but it wasn't working. I didn't see the upgrade at first, but just found it and uploaded it. Took a bit to get it, but i got it. Thanks for your reply.
