Hi,
today my site crashed the MySQL server, i had too many process in sleep mode for long time.
|Id|User|Host|db|Command|Time|State|Info
|15234|eximstats|localhost|eximstats|Sleep|23448 |19598|****|localhost|****|Sleep|575 |19602|****|localhost|****|Sleep|573
|19643|****|localhost|****|Sleep|538
|19793|****|localhost|****|Sleep|288 |19800|****|localhost|****|Sleep|286

|19855|****|localhost|****|Sleep|252 |19916|****|localhost|****|Sleep|159
|19988|****|localhost|****|Sleep|62
The most used part in my site is the cbb forums, usually 30 visitors online, and in rush hours 50 visitors online.
IS hosted in a VPS.
My host requireds me to change mysql_pconnect to mysql_connect, but i know XOOPS no use pconnect, but what about the following modules:
Cbb 1.16, wfdownloads, xcgallery, flashgames, protector, smartfaq, cjaycontent, news, spotlight.
---
I have the XOOPS persistent conection off (0) ,custom sesions off, the CBB cache activated, the XOOPS gzip off, i have cached the modules and the blocks, the who´s online block is active.
I have a big problem, what can be the reason of these sleep processes?
Can be the forum searchs? i think not.
One friend suggest me configure the server for kill the sleep process after X seconds, that can be the solution? you recomend that?
Grettings and thanks in advance.
