I did a fresh install of XOOPS, PHP 5, MySQL 5 and everything was up and running without too many problems. The problem's I do have are with modules. They're giving me headaches and making my hair gray.

I downloaded XOOPS 2.2.3a and the CompanyPack 1.0. Everythign works except the "content" module. I can not create any content. I've tried TinyContent as well and ran into the same problems. Has anyone else tried running this setup and if so, do you know any workarounds.

Also, I would like to downgrade MySQL to verion 4 as I'm guess that's the issue, but I can't seem to find any instructions on how. I'm running OS X 10.4.4

I was able to uninstall MySQL 5, which turned out to be easier than I thought.

The following commands may help others:

You need to open the terminal and navigate to:

/usr/local/

Then run: sudo rm -r mysql
&
run: sudo rm -r mysql-"YourVersion"

Then go to your Library/Receipts folder and remove the MySQL receipt for the database you're trying to remove.

Optional: In the terminal run: sudo periodic daily weekly monthly


Even with that and installing MySQL 4, I still can't get the content module working.. So I'll jump over to Module support pages and shed my tears there.

FWIW, I have XOOPS 2.2.4 running on MySQL 5.0.18. The only thing I did was backup the db, install 5.0.18, then reload the db from the backup. Until I did the backup/reinstall, I ran into a few errors with table structures
