Hi hotrock,

what exactly do you want to show?

If you want to customize your main menu, take a look at the multimenu module available in the mod repository.

To show content of a block, simply add the block to the page, where you want it to show up

Maybe this is some help to you, otherwise pls give some more information what you really want to do.

yeh i tried the multimenu, but the thing that kinda pisses me off coz i have to display the system menu (where i dont need the modules showing) and i dont need submenus (not yet atleast).

i only need like 7 links that will show some content when pressed. and 1 shudnt have to press a link to see the rest of the menu.

when u said that i just have to add a block to a page...
how do i generate a new page then?
i thaught that u cud assign a button to a block and this will then show correspondingly.

thnx for ure help!

sorry, but i don't get your point.

in multimenu you make a new link. call it YOURCONTENT, set it as Main Link (no submenu needed) link it to your contente e.g. modules/news and tell it to show in the target self

Then you create a block YOURBLOCKNAME as multimenuX visible e.g. on all pages in the left collumn, set the user rights and there u go.

You then see the menu with the link to your content. Press on it and your content shows up.
If you have more links, set them all as Main links and all show up at once -> no additional clicks needed.

Works fine on my page.

ok, solved the problem (just makin my own menu, by coding) =)
just cudnt figure out how to get the link to be displayd in the center of the page...

whats the target?

also tried (as read in a forum post):
<{$xoops_url}>/content/test.html

but it always trys to open:
/modules/multiMenu/<{$xoops_url}>/content/test.html

and if i use:
../../content/test.html

then it opens it in a new window.

apparently it doesnt recognize the <{$xoops_url}>
for some reason

I've had the SAME issue with a custom block. Anyone know what code to put into a custom block to render the proper directory prefix?

What type of content you're talking about?

Did you give the "content" module a try - u can edit html pages within the module and link external content and all is embedded in Xoops.
It is included e.g. in the community pack.
