Good looking front page, clean design. Can't say nothing about the content, cause don't understand portuguese. But that strange blank screen redirection looks really confusing. When you first open http://www.contraditorio.com you just get a blank page. And a few seconds later, if still here, while wandering what's wrong you see that a front page starts loading. But much time between them, really confusing..

Thanks. In relation of the blank page...i know that...i was stupid and put the site in contraditorio.com/site/ when you enter contraditorio.com i have a redirect page...so stupid...and now is difficult to change because the search engines...

How do you make the redirection? Cause normally there shouldn't be such time before starting of redirected page load. Maybe there's sth around it, cause as I said it feels too much time between.

First i had a index.html like this:

"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">


Contraditorio.com - Critica, Discussao e muito mais!








Then i speak with the domain webmaster and he advice to have a index.php like this:

header("Location: http://www.contraditorio.com/site");
?>

thats what i have now... advices welcome.

That's the much better way, with the php code and header function.
But am I missing sth, should it return 404 Error when typing http://contraditorio.com/index.php ? That's what I get back. Strange. But learning every day

You are right. Is because i will try to put the site in the root of the domain. Because XOOPS use a index.php i had to put the old index.htm in the root of the domain to continue redirecting people to the dir. /site/ until everything are ok.

What you need is just to move the files one directory up and change the constants in mainfile.php . It will be so simple if you got no full urls hardcoded in your files and templates, that will be if always used XOOPS and smarty constants where giving urls - that's why that's so useful.

Hello again.

Is just to say that i changed the site to the root of the domain, just as you said, with 100 % success.

The only thing I had to change (beside the mainfile) was the paths of the photos (news module) in the Database. I made that with PhPMyadmin. I searched for all http:// in all the database and then changed them to the new path.
