Has any one tried to migrate the user data from XOOPS 2.0.5 to XOOPS 2.2.3

there is table structure changes in XOOPS 2.2.3 compared to XOOPS 2.0.5

I also want to migrate new bb data from XOOPS 2.0.5 to XOOPS 2.2.3

Because of database changes you would need to attempt to move the data to 2.0.13.2, which I would suggest you stick with for now until 2.4 is released. You can however attempt an upgrade to 2.2.3 from that version. Do it on a test site before attempting on the production site, and backup backup backup.

Here is what I am planning to do

1. Clean install XOOPS 2.2.3
2. Migrate User data
3. Migrate Modules and Module data one by one
4. Move this upgraded system to production.

Based on users feed back I assume its better if I move to 2.0.13 and later 2.3 or 2.4

as there are no issues ( or less issues ) with 2.0.13
and there are no data structure changes in 2.0.13

Database for user data has changed between 2.0x and 2.2x, there is no way to currently directly migrate the user base from one version to the other. It requires running the upgrade script included with 2.2.3 to move the users from an existing 2.0.13 site to a 2.2.3 upgraded install. And again no guarantees it will work with no problems (I have seen better luck with complete new installs than with upgrades.)

Yes I would suggest staying with 2.0.13.2 until 2.4 is released as final. Since 2.0.5 is so old I am not 100% sure if there were any other major changes or not since then.
