Greetings -

I am thinking of upgrading in the near future. However, I had a brain fart and forgot where is the XOOPS version.

What *.php file is the XOOPS version on?

check version.php in the include folder... there your current XOOPS version is noted :)

Greetings - Thank you.

Does that version number include the sub-release?

I have there "XOOPS 2.0.10". If I had the ".2" release would it say "XOOPS 2.0.10.2"?

Thank In Advance.

In theory, yes. In practice, the version number in include/version.php is sometimes incorrect, because the person who made the release package didn't update it.

The only guaranteed way of knowing your XOOPS version is to keep track of which version you installed.

Greetings Dave -

Thanks for the response.

Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks anyway.

I do not recall what the last version I installed was.

Will try to install .1 and .2 before I upgrade.

Ouch!

One thing you can do is download the .zip or .tar.gz for the version you think you have, and use a file comparison utility to see if the files match. My preference is BeyondCompare, but there are other choices.

Greetings -

A good thing happened. I checked the download area where I keep my upgrades and my last solid release was "2.0.13"

So according to the files that are available, I need to do two upgrades:

1) 2.0.13 to 2.0.13.1

2) 2.0.13.1 to 2.2.3a-Final

It has been a while since I did an upgrade since XOOPS works with a minimal of problems. And I left myself an "bread crumb trail" of what I did last.

Sometimes, being paranoid is not such a bad thing.

The latest 2.0.x is actually 2.0.13.2.

You may want to stick with 2.0.13.2, and hold off on the 2.2.x upgrade for now.
