After i upgrade fro 2.2.3 R1 to 2.2.3 final, my PM still remain the same problem which the old member(before i upgrade to 2.2.x) still got no PM icon in their profile. what should i do?

First question, did you update the PM module in the modules administration page after the upgrade?

If that doesn't work, have you tried uninstalling (making sure all PM modules tables are gone from the database) then reinstalling the PM module?

Just for information, when upgrading a 2.2x version 3 modules are being upgraded: the system , PM, and Extended Profile modules. All will need to be updated in the modules administration page after the new files are uploaded. And as always, if you are using cloned templates, you may need to delete and regenerate the templates for the modules manually in System Admin - Templates.
