hey everybody
I'm new to XOOPS and i'm not a programmer. I found XOOPS really interesting so i started working on it dowloading the Xsas environment an installing it.
But i have some troubles and, overall, i can't find anywhere a guide or a tutorial about Xsas.
First of all i would like, 'cause i'm working on several ideas, to be able to work on more than one site in xsas, but i tried in several ways (like putting another XOOPS directory inside the WWW directory and importing the new database with the myphp interface) but it didn't work. Where i can find any docs or help about using Xsas?
Thanx to everybody!

You can call up phpmyadmin from the xsas control panel (Advanced tab) then create a new database. If you have content already you can than import it (choose database and then use SQL tab to either copy and paste it in or choose the sql file to upload). If you create a fresh site then only create a database.

Now you put your XOOPS files into the www folder:
- create a folder e.g. newsite
- copy all files and subfolders from the html folder of the XOOPS distribution package in there
- next use your browser and just call the url: localhost/newsite

This should start the installation.

(If you imported content of an existing site you just need to edit mainfile.php with the new path and database information for the local installation)

First of all... Thank you bender!
So.. i did what u wrote.. exporting the database of the first site i've made, creating a new Db using the .sql file exported before, after i made a copy of the existing XOOPS site with a new name and then i made modifies to the mainfile.php.
When i call the site from the browser it works!
But i wanted the new site to be listed in the main (start) tab of Xsas, together with the existing, so i'll be able to have a list of all the projects i'm working on. Is it possible? I still have to change some files or did i wrong something?
Thank u again!

Ok, it's me again...
Now i made another site inside Xsas, making a new DB just importing the structure from a new XOOPS version (from its sql folder) on a new db made with the php admin tab in xoops, and then using the install function that opens when u recall the site from the browser.
It works fine, but i have still the same trouble: on the "start" tab in Xsas just appear the default xoops2 link, not the new site. Xsas can list more than a project on the start tab? how can i make it work?
Any suggestion?
Thank guys!
