Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current module is v1.3.3.7

I was told that anything lower than 1.5 is not truly compatible with php 4 and lower. So that messes up most people.

Apparently Gallery is on 1.5.2

There's a developer there, Tim_j, willing to work with somebody to get it integrated into Xoops.

Anyone willing and able?

I don't know what went before your post but Gallery is now available in Version 2 and there is (alpha) port available here.
