I want to set up a first class forum I have no clue where to start. What package do I need, Where can I go for answers? And is it worth the headaches? Thanks for your time

Can you elaborate a little?

Do you already have a website and want to add a forum?

Do you only need a forum?

Do you need a forum and plan to build a website around it later?

Do you expect your users to be keen for gimmicks in the forum or just simplicity?

From what I am learning it will be a free standing web site. My business web site host doesn't do forums.

I will create a link between the two

I want them to be able to add pictures in their signatures, use PM's Privet massages, links from their post. a lot of the whistles and bells.

I don't want to spend a ton of money on things I don't need but on the other hand I don't want the site to crash because there is to much going on.
