I've got a cpu ressource problem when XOOPS is running, evrithing was right with few visitors, but my site grown a lot last month...

What are the ways to avoid excessive cpu usages ?

- Upgrading to the last version of XOOPS ? (2.2.x)
- Changing my forum (newbb2) for a lighter one ? witch one ?
- Using caching differently (actually i use cache system on every module except the forum) ?
- Deleting some heavy modules ? (my-album 2.75 ? calendar 0.6 ? )

What do you mean you have cpu resource problem? You must be having realy heavy traffic going there do get this. What OS you are using and what tools do you use to check CPU?

Yes, I do understand that some modules are heavy on CPU but sometimes the problem might be somewhere else than you think.

You can try to disable (not uninstall) one module at a time and see what it changes to CPU usage.

Depending on a server (Apache/IIS) there are different setups for connection settings and so on.
