Hello
Ok, I'm confused about how the version numbering works for xoops. I've done a search with various terms and checked the substantial faq, but couldn't find a full explanation
On the homepage it indicates that 2.0.13.1 is the latest stable release for production sites, though this isn't actually stated clearly (and only implied because the other version is a RC)
When you click on the other prominent main "download now!" link on the homepage, it lists a whole load of package versions.
Does the version numbering follow the same logic as linux?
That is, the second digit, if even numbered denotes a stable release?
On some threads for
example I've seen it suggested that 2.2.2 should be used rather than 2.2.3RC1 which makes sense. But is 2.2.2 according to the version numbering stable for a production site then? How then does it differ from the 2.0.13.1?
As you can see, I'm getting lost
Could someone please point me to the right place for this info
thanks
