Im looking for two things, a gallery and a blog but there's some features that Im not sure which modules has so I need your experience on that

I've done some searching and it seems like xcgal has all what I need, and it allows me to upload folders instead of pic by pic correct? is there any other module that u suggest too?

about the blogs Im currently using wordpress is there a way to make a normal user responsible of a certain category where he can add and manage news? and is there a module that allows users to create there own blogs?
