My XOOPS site got infected

I had it installed some months ago, then i got busy, didn't check back on my site for a very long time, untill last night. and when i returned to it, the shoutbox module was not working, i logged in as Admin to see whats going on but i can't do anything, I can't post News Items or anythign else, it just does a blank click nothing. what has gone wrong with it?

Please enable php debug (its not necessarily that someone hacked it) and what version of XOOPS are you running?

2 scenarios:
1- Your using a version older then 2.0.13: if so there is a known vuln involving xml-rpc.
2- Your using 2.0.13 or newer: erase all files from templates_c and cache then update the affected modules.

You may just want to delete the xmlrpc.php file since its really not ever used.
