When pressing any link in a xoop site, the whole page reloads before it shows the selected destination.

I'm was thinking of adding a music player made in flash as a banner, but then realised that everytime a link is pressed, the new page isnt opened in just the below window under the links, in fact the whole page reloads everytime a link is pressed. Any ideas how to make this work? are there any places in a XOOPS page which doesn't reload when a link is pressed? (there arn't, as the whole page is reloaded, but ask anyway :)) and placing the player in a popup
window is out of the question
I love Xoops!

You could maybe try using an IFRAME

It's natural for the whole page to reload when a new request is sent to the server.

Unless you're using an XML RPC system (AJAX etc...) it's really inevitable you'll get complete page reloads.

perhaps an iframe will allow you to get around it. try it out.

all the best,

D.
