I've been looking for a module to replicate the functionality of http://www.digg.com. If you're not familar with digg, it is a social bookmarking site (tech/web related stuff), users submit links to news stories, new websites, etc, and then these links get promoted to the main page by other users voting (digging) for them. It's a great simple design and it's become extremely popular.

There is a project at http://www.talkingpixels.org/diggclone/index.php that is not XOOPS related. I imagine it could be ported into a module, although it is still in development and is a little rough.

Some of the link modules already available can be modified to come close to digg's functionality, but not close enough in my opinion. I think it may be easier to start a module from scratch, but I've never created my own module before.

Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions?
