NEED HELP with CSS

hi there!

well i have been working on how XOOPS and sothink dhtml can be made to work, i have been successful to some extent.

the issue
When i use the sothink dhtml menu on mywebsite: www.ayubians.com/thesite the submenu width is all over the place.

ok here is what i got so far

1) my website:http://ayubians.com/thesite/index.php
with default theme, of sev_zero

style css file :http://ayubians.com/thesite/themes/sev_zero/style.css

2) Scroll down mywebsite and on left side you will see a block called themes. Change the theme to 7dana-jane a new look website will appear: with working menu

style css is:http://ayubians.com/thesite/themes/7dana-jane/style.css

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS (7 DANA JANE ) is not the original style.css, rather modified ( based on a working menu website )http://www.zibidosg.net/newsite2

Where as the original style sheet which comes with 7 dana-jane was giving the same " menu width " problems. i have uploaded the original 7 dana jane file for you.

URL of original is
http://www.ayubians.com/sothink/style.css

I hope now you have good understanding of the problem. I want to use the menu with : sev_zero theme

b/w the menu pgt wont be useful, since menu is working fine on 7dana and not working with sev_zero theme

If you intend to try this on your own website:
please put the following codes:

in head of ur theme html document add:
<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2" src="http://www.ayubians.com/tasveer/stm31.js"></script>

where as in body of ur theme html add:

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2">
<!--
stm_bm(["menu0283",430,"http://www.ayubians.com/tasveer","blank.gif",0,"","",0,0,250,0,1000,1,0,0,"","",0],this);

Unless you really want the pain of hand coding all this, I recommend you try the multiMenu module. I think you can accomplish everything you want with that...

If you want it in a banner you'll need to do standard dhtml code and establish block sizes etc. If you check old archives on this site, look up hsalazar and dhtml or menus you should find lots of old discussions on the subject.

You can also trying going to some of the XOOPS sites that specialize in themes design like:

http://www.7dana.com/index.php?home
http://www.dcdezines.ca/
http://studiocreativ.de/
http://www.core74.org/modules/tinyd3/

Re: NEED HELP with CSS

well thanks rabideau for showing interest,
but if you read my original post carefully you will see my problem is very specific: the dhtml menu is working fine with one theme where as its not working with another. and with that another i want to use the menu. I hope i have made myself clear
