Is it just me, or is it a complete nightmare to clone a XOOPS module? On one of my sites, for a local newspaper, I want to use the News module 3 times: One will be called "News" the second will be "Entertainment" and the third "Jobs".

I have seen the guide on this site about how to hack together a clone of a module - but it is really hard to understand and make sense of. (unless you are a core developer)

I should imagine that cloning a module would be a fundamental problem for many many people using XOOPS. Are there any other sources of info, or tutorials available?

Thanks

You could use news & ams - which is based on news... but in many cases, just using news and carefully planning sections and blocks would replace the need for more than one installation... use multimenu and link it to different category views....
