I turned on ldap authentication, and tried it out with my company login and password.

I couldn't log in, so I tried to log back in with my "admin" user and it's not allowing it so I can fix my ldap settings!

Is there a file I can edit to let me back in, or will I have to take the hours and hours of setting this page up and start 100% over????

Thanks!

You could go into the DB and change the XOOPS preference for ldap back to it's default value. I don't know in which table it is but with a little search you should find it.

Cool thanks :) I'm sure this will be fine... luckily, if it fails, I won't have to figure out how everything works all over again.

Ok.. follow-up question.. it's back to NON-LDAP...(thanks!)

Is it possible for someone to use ldap AND non-LDAP logins?

If so, I can't find anything on the forums for authentication.

They are working on it for a future release.
I had the same problem with LDAP not working. Has anyone actually successfully implemented it? I would like to hear how they did it. I'm relatively familiar with LDAP and I've tried every concievable configuration but it still doesn't accept any logins.
On logging in it shows the user's DN and says the login was incorrect before spitting them back to the login page.
Help, anyone???

I have the same problem...
which tables did yu modify to turn off the ldap logins - I can't find an ldap-config table anywhere.

Been trying to authenticate against AD, but no joy with whatever I try.

ok - found it, it was in xoops_config, just phpmyadmin was only returning 30 rows.

you want to set auth_method to XOOPS instead of ldap
