How can I know the user group name?

Is there a way to know the user group name?

I have added a group (named author), that has administration permissions for some little modules.

In the system template 'system_block_user.html', the admin menu item is visible only for user that has xoops_isadmin variable set to 1. But users of this my new group hasn't this variable set. So I will like to change the template to verify the group.

You don't need to change the template.

When a member of the Author group logs in, and visits the page for which they have admin rights, the user menu will appear.
