Hopefully this is a good place to post regarding the Hack i found for using Linux NIS and yp* to authenticate / centralized location for usernames / passwords.

I work for a company who has roughly 500 employees and my manager really likes xoops, but to make it useful to us ('Nix shop) it would be best to use our current NIS server for username / password authentication.

I've tried to implement the NIS Hack that i found on this sites forums, but all i get is a white page.

Centos 4 (RHEL)
MySQL 4.1.10a
PHP Version 4.3.9 (enable_yp is enabled)
Apache 2.0.52-12.1

Anyone gotten this to work on 2.0.13? i know that 2.2RC2 has LDAP built in, but i specifically need NIS (Network Information System). If you have, could you please post a concise and clear "How TO"?

I've totally blown the old site away and installed XOOPS 2.2 RC2 full install.
There is an LDAP authentication module built in but where can i look at the code for it?

Is this the right place to post to get help regarding this issue?
