I have installed xfguestbook .. all went ok but new entries are not saving

Annie, have you got modertaion turned on?? if so check awaiting entries in guestbook admin.

Someone at dutch support had the same problem, are you using PHP5? PHP5 is not supported. The creator did say he'd update it.

Yes the author TheCat preview to work on this module

yes its version 5 ... have uninstalled

Can anyone suggest another guestbook please?

If you can't wait the next release of XF guestbook, I think you have just to change 2 lines in class/msg.php (function insert and function delete)
if (get_class($msg) != 'xfguestbookmsg') {
// with
if (strtolower(get_class($msg)) != 'xfguestbookmsg') {

Not tested, sorry if it dont'work.

I have tested your suggestion on:

Webserver: Windows 2003
WAMP 5, including:
Apache version : Apache/1.3.33 (Win32)
PHP version : 5.0.4
MySQL version : 4.1.10a-nt - extension : mysqli

And it works great! Many thanks!
