Hi...I noticed that the upgrade patch only covers from version 2.0.13. My XOOPS site is currently at 2.0.11. Can somebody point me to the correct 2.0.11-2.0.13 patch. I looked at the download section but it is not available anymore.

If it is not available, is it safe to upload everything from the full 2.2 release and upgrade it that way?

Thanks.

Uploading the full 2.2 release will work. The upgrade patches are just there so that those, who have made changes to their installation don't have to re-do everything, including the untouched parts.

Alternatively, you can use the 2.0.10-to-2.0.13 patch first, then the 2.0.13 to 2.2 patch.

Is the 2.0.10-to-2.0.13 patch still available then? I can only see 2.0.13-2.2 patch in the downloads section.

If I upload the 2.2 full release, aren't there some files I shouldn't overwrite? Like mainfile.php perhaps?

I got my site upgraded to XOOPS 2.2 [from 2.0.13] without major problems. I followed the instruction on docs/UPDATE.html, and it ran like a charm.

The only problem I faced is that, after updating to 2.2, my center blocks are all missing. When I go to blocks admin, I noticed that I have to check "Visible in" - "Top Page" for all center blocks, and click submit. It all worked like before again...

Nice work XOOPS Team!!!

Yes, the mainfile.php should not be overwritten and you should ensure that permissions on cache, templates_c and uploads folders are so that the webserver can write to them.

"Upgrade to XOOPS 2.2

Enable PHP debug
Go to your administration area => system module => preferences => general settings and enable PHP debug
Run pre-upgrade script
After uploading all files in the patch archive, access http://www.example.com/xoopsupdate.php, replacing http://www.example.com with your site's URL. This will show error messages and no real content, but don't worry, just proceed to next step
Reload the page
Press the submit button to update the system"
