block background shows in preview but not on site

Hi, I have made changes in a right block, I have set background to a color, so no css there. When I preview default templates in admin, the color shows, but on my site it's only white. Any ideas?

NB. I have tried to turn "update template" on and off in preferences and I have deleted templates_c tmp files.
